Chifley MP Ed Husic today hosted his annual Seniors Forum in Mt Druitt, part of the celebration of Seniors Week across NSW.
The open event for all Chifley Seniors was again held at the Mt Druitt Hub.
It featured addresses from representatives of a number of Government and Non-Government agencies including, Centrelink, Heart Moves, The Mt Druitt and Area Legal Centre, Respite and Carelink services.
“I am always enjoy joining with our local seniors to celebrate Seniors Week every year and it was great to see their attendance today,” said Mr Husic.
“My Seniors Forum is just a small contribution to the week and is designed to keep Seniors up to date with services that affect them,” he added.
“Payments and Services are ever changing so it is handy that the agencies are able to make themselves available to outline these changes.
“As a nation we are living longer and more and more people are qualifying for services and benefits for the first time,” Mr Husic said.
Mr Husic said he always enjoyed engaging with Chifley Seniors and is committed to championing their cause in Federal Parliament.
